These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Knoito mobile application ("Knoito", "the app", "our app") provided by Knoito ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading, installing, or using Knoito, you agree to these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Knoito, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the app.
2. Description of Service
Knoito is a personal relationship management application for iOS. It helps you track professional relationships, promises, meeting context, and organizational intelligence. The app stores data locally on your device and syncs via your private iCloud account.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Knoito. By using the app, you represent that you meet this age requirement.
4. Your Account & Data
Knoito does not require account creation. The app uses your Apple ID and iCloud account for data sync. You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your Apple ID and device
- All content and data you create within the app
- Ensuring the accuracy of information you enter
- Backing up your data as appropriate
5. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Knoito only for lawful purposes. You shall not:
- Use the app to store or manage information in violation of any law or regulation
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Use the app in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its functionality
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems connected to the app
6. Intellectual Property
Knoito and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Knoito and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The app's design, code, graphics, and branding may not be reproduced without written permission.
7. Data & Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy for details on how we handle your data. In summary: your data stays on your device and in your private iCloud account. We never see, access, or share your data.
8. iCloud Sync
Knoito uses Apple's CloudKit to sync data across your devices. This sync is governed by Apple's terms of service and iCloud storage policies. We are not responsible for iCloud service availability, storage limits, or data handling by Apple.
9. Disclaimers
Knoito is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to:
- Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
- Warranties that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
- Warranties regarding the accuracy of information derived from calendar or other data sources
Knoito is a productivity tool. It is not a substitute for professional legal, financial, or relationship advice.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Knoito shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, arising from your use of or inability to use the app.
11. Third-Party Services
Knoito integrates with Apple's EventKit (calendar) and CloudKit (sync) services. These integrations are subject to Apple's terms of service. We are not responsible for the availability or functionality of Apple's services.
12. App Store Terms
Your use of Knoito is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service, including Apple's standard End User License Agreement (EULA). In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple's EULA, Apple's terms shall prevail with respect to the licensing of the app through the App Store.
13. Modifications to the App
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue Knoito at any time, with or without notice. We shall not be liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the app.
14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
